Job Title: Parts and Service Sales Representative (PSSR)

Department: Aftersales / Product Support

Reporting To: Parts Manager

Salary: Kshs 130,000 – 150,000

Our client is a well established company in Kenya. They wish to recruit an experienced Parts and Service Sales Representative (PSSR) to drive the growth of parts and service sales in the assigned region by building customer relationships, identifying sales opportunities, and ensuring timely after-sales support. The PSSR will actively engage with customers, perform machine inspections, and promote the company’s parts and service offerings to achieve business objectives (set budgets).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Sales Growth and Business Development

• Proactively seek and develop sales opportunities for parts and service offerings.
• Conduct regular customer visits to promote parts and service sales, respond to customer inquiries, and close deals.
• Act as a liaison between customers and the company for quotes, tender submissions, and contract negotiations.

2. Customer Engagement and Relationship Building

• Build and maintain strong customer relationships, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
• Provide regular machine inspections and reports, advising customers on necessary parts and service interventions.
• Facilitate customer training sessions on product use and maintenance best practices.

3. Reporting and CRM Management

• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales opportunities, and machine data in the CRM system.
• Provide regular forecasts and updates to the Parts Manager on business trends, customer feedback, and emerging opportunities in the market.

4. Product and Service Promotion

• Participate in field days, promotional events, and merchandising programs to enhance brand visibility and parts sales.
• Use Komtrax and other monitoring tools to identify service needs and proactively address potential machine issues with customers.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• A degree or diploma in Business Management/ Mechanical Engineering, Plant Engineering or related course.
• 3-10 yrs prior experience in parts and service sales, with a strong understanding of heavy equipment and after-sales support requirements

Skills and Competencies:

• Strong communication and relationship-building abilities
• Proficient in MS office – excel, Word, PowerPoint,
• Proficient in CRM and other business tracking tools
• In-depth knowledge of heavy equipment parts and service requirements
• Detail-oriented with a focus on customer satisfaction and timely delivery
