I am a driven, agile, and goal-oriented grants and projects management expert with a bias towards grant administration, grant reporting, partner management, and budget management. I have successfully managed administration and finance functions of tens of development projects within the larger East Africa region, supporting grant managers and project managers during grant-making processes, grant applications processes, and during the entire life cycle of grants and projects.
In my previous roles, I developed grant-specific finance and administration policies and procedures that aligned with Cardno and DfID rules and regulations. Including policies and procedures for cash flow management, budgeting, and partner management. I successfully monitored the program budget of a 5-year technical assistance program with a budget of £19.5M, supported program partners in their reporting, prepared donor forecasts, and reports including liaising with the program manager, technical leads to report on objectives and milestones achievements as set-out on donor Terms of Reference. I also generated 100% effective and efficient donor and partners reports to FCDO leading to a perfect donor relationship with the organization. Finally, I acted as a link between project/grants finance & administration teams (Based in Kenya, Rwanda, Uganda) and corporate finance teams in Kenya, London, USA, and Australia offices, supporting team collaboration and effective communication.
